Zo's First trip to the Fair

Riding a pink John Deer tractor trike with Daddy's help. We had to pull her off of it.

At the kid's zone petting a calf.

She's as big as the pony!

Zenobia actually got to get in the pin and pet a couple pigs. She was a little hesitant, especially when the pig in the other pin started to oink.

We planned to go to the fair last year, but with me being in my first trimester with Z'Khari I wasn't up for all the fair smells and we didn't go. This year we were planning on going to the Spokane Fair but when we were in Dayton for a weekend we found out they were having their fair. So for half the price (and less than half of the Spokane fair) we took Zenobia to her first fair. She loved seeing all the animals and we made it in time to see all of them before they were auctioned off.

Lots of Updates

I've been trying to catch up with posts and I'm almost there! There are 4 months worth of updates that i have posted so you need to scroll down all the way to Zenobia's birthday. Sorry it's been soooo long!!! Enjoy!

4 Months Old

This isn't the first time he's played with a doll. With a big sister who loves to play with dolls it can't be helped that Z'Khari will play with dolls even though Eugene doesn't like it!

Peeking out from the Maya Wrap

A week after Z'Khari turned 4 months old he rolled over, and not by accident. He rolled from his tummy to back so he could see his mobile in his crib. That day he did it again, again, and again-he just wouldn't stay on his tummy. Now he can roll to both sides but still prefers the left. He is sitting up with assist, talks up a storm from time to time, recognizes when I sign "milk" and know when i put the bib on him it's time to eat. Z'Khari loves watching his sister and always has a smile on his face and/or laughing when she entertains him. Like Zenobia, Z'Khari likes to sing and usually joins to sing with us at church-although sometimes it sounds like he's yelling and getting upset-but he's really just making himself heard. He is still very laid back and goes along with the flow.

Monkey See Monkey Do

I decided to take a few pictures of Z'Khari in his overalls and hat just because he was looking so cute and Zenobia saw and just had to get in on it. She ran and got her hat and jumped up on the chair with Z'Khari. Turned out to be pretty cute!

Dancing

Zenobia loves to dance! She can't help but move and groove when she hears music, so we have a lot of dance sessions. Zo likes to get Z'Khari involved too and he loves to just watch her. It is so cute to watch them together.

Discovery Park

This chair is too big even for Mommy!

Z'Khari was so good the whole day and just went along for the ride. Here is is chillin' while we are eating lunch.

Mimi and Zo playing the drums

Princesses and the Frog

This was Zenobia's favorite thing, she is a jumping fool!!!

Mimi came with me and the kids to Discovery Park to let Zenobia play and also have a picnic. It was a perfect day to play and have a picnic! Discovery Park is a new playground that has lots of different activities for the kids. They have huge bongo drums, huge chimes, a sand area (we stayed out of there, Zo would have been crying the whole way home that she was dirty), trampoline, a splash pad, swings, and a rock wall just to name a few.

Kid's Day

Riverfront Park had a day in August where everything was free for kids, so we decided to take advantage of it. They had a beanbag toss, bowling, face painting, jump and bounce, animal balloons, and countless other kid activities. Since it was free is was crowded and hot, but Zenobia had a great time.

Our Little Monkey

3 Months Old

I can't believe how fast time goes by with your second baby. I thought it went fast with Zenobia but now it seems to be going triple the speed with Z'Khari! Z'Khari is such a joy! He loves to coo and talk, laughs out loud with hard wrenching laughter, smiles at almost everyone, grabs for anything that passes in front of him (including coffee mugs), loves to watch his silly sister, and is a little swimmer when on the floor. I've been so lucky with him soothing himself to sleep-I didn't even have to train him. I think it might have been because he's had to be on his own more than Zenobia did. We held her a lot, but having a 2 year old and a newborn you just don't get that luxury of holding the baby as much.(which does make me a little sad but we still get cuddle time) It has been good for us though because Z'Khari is so laid back. He is definitely a boy and different than Zenobia; he burps like a man, grunts when he poops, and when he's had enough he's ready to seclude himself in his cave (go to sleep in his crib on his own).

Don't let that binky go!!!

Sleeping Away-so sweet

Mekhi got puked on a lot by little bro but he sure handled it well for a 12 year old boy.

More Wedding and Family

Hillary and Blake

In June my cousin Hillary got married and a lot of family members were involved. My dad performed the ceremony, my mom played her flute, and my two little cousins (second) who are four were the flower girl and ring bearer. It was a beautiful wedding and was fun to have most of our family there.

Assuming his big brother role within minutes of arriving! He's such a good big brother!!!

6 Weeks Old

Zo had to be right there almost all the time

One of his first smiles! Melts my heart

Z'Khari has been such a joy! We thought Zenobia was a good and easy baby until he came along. Z'Khari is so happy and laid back. Of course it's been an adjustment with having 2 kids but it is all so worth it. Zo had been doing great with her little brother, she is usually the first one to get up and soothe him when he's crying. She is so motherly already, I can tell already Z'Khari is going to have a hard time doing things without his big sister's approval.

Memorial Day

We were able to go down to Dayton for Memorial weekend and spend time with my parents and grandfather. Zenobia got to experience a parade and loaded up on tons of candy (yes, they still throw candy to the kids here in Dayton). We didn't do much but just enjoyed each other's company and of course the kids.
