First Night Away

Zenobia's bed that Mom made for her, pink blanket, pink sheets, and pink pillows-can we add anymore pink??????

Going to church with Papa

Artist in the making

Last weekend Eugene took Zenobia down to my parents for the weekend. He stayed with her Friday night then left Saturday morning to go golfing in the Tri-Cities, then drove back to Spokane after he was done. I had to work during the weekend so I wasn't able to go at all. This was the first time Zenobia has spent the night away from me. The goodbye was hard (yes have to admit I shed some tears) but I was so busy all weekend long that being away from her wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Zenobia did great and waved and kissed me goodbye without even a thought and didn't even cry for Momma the whole weekend. I'm so glad she did well because it will make it easier the next time. Eugene and I were able to go to a movie and sushi (vegan roll for me) on Saturday night and was able to spend some more alone time Sunday afternoon before Zo came home. It was nice to be able to do that since we never do but it sure is nice to have our daughter back home!

Starting Young

Zenobia has loved to play in my makeup bag since she was 8 months old. Now she is able to open everything and explore with it. One day I turned around to see what she was playing with and found my concealer all over her face!!!

Daddy and ZoZo

On a Sunday after Church

29 Weeks

Posing like Momma

You gotta love these hugs-just delicious!!!

My little snuggle bug

Fun at Mimi's and Papa's

Playing the PINK guitar

Walked with Papa to the post office and just couldn't make it all the way back home

Playing in the sand and water

Look at me, I'm on T.V.!

Kissing a puppet that Mimi was playing with-it took Zo a while to warm up to it though. She was scared at first and almost started to cry when Mimi poked the puppet through the tree hole.

A few weeks ago I had 6 days off in a row so Zenobia and I visited Mimi and Papa for a few of those days. Mom took Zenobia and I to the children's museum in Walla Walla one day and Zo loved it. It had a play kitchen with everything kid level and it even had a toy espresso machine! It also had a vetrinarian's office, dinosaur land, shadow room, music area, and a tool room. Zenobia's favorite though was a little stage set up in front of a camera that you can "act" and see yourself on t.v. We dressed her in a couple costumes and she loved watching herself on the t.v. She had a lot of fun exploring there. It was a fun and relaxing time for us and best of all, Zo got to spend time with her Mimi and Papa.

The best picture of all the kids I could get

When Zenobia was just 6 months old we started a playgroup with a couple of my co-workers and their kids who were all within 2 months of age. Now we have about 5 kids total that we meet with, 4 of them are within 2 months of age and the youngest one is about 5 months younger than Zo. We try to meet about twice a month and usually get together at someone's house in the winter and usually at a park in the summer. It's been a lot of fun watching them grow together and progress. When we started the group they just barely knew how to sit up if that, now they are running all over the place and jabbering up a storm.

Auntie Lanie and Uncle Bri

The lion came out just as we were about to leave the park.

Melanie feeding the tiger, Brian also got to feed her.

Zo with Nanie and Bra

Melanie helping Zo play Dance Revolution.......kind of.

Melanie and Brian came to visit for a week over their first wedding anniversary. They stayed with us in Spokane for 4 days then went down to Dayton and visited with Mom, Dad, and Grandpa for a couple of days. While they were here we played the Wii and Zenobia loved the Dance Revolution! Of course we had quite a bit of fun with it too. It sure gives you a workout, especially when you have a big belly in front of you-makes it hard to jump around! Zenobia and I went to "Cat Tales" (a mini zoo full of different kinds of cats from bobcats to lions and tigers) with Melanie and Brian. It was a lot of fun and Zenobia loved looking at the huge tigers and lion. For their anniversary, Mel and Brian spent the day in Riverfront Park and had a nice dinner at Clinkerdagger's (one of the best restuarants in Spokane). It was a nice visit with them and only made us wish they lived closer! Zo loved "Nanie" and "Bra" (as she calls them) and misses them both.
