Christmas

Christmas day was so much fun this year with Zenobia. She was a pro at opening all her gifts and was so excited with each of them. With all the clothes she got, she had to try each of them on and didn't care if she tried them on over the other new clothes either. Mom and Dad got her a book that listed all the things a girl keeps in her purse. So Mom found her a purse and filled it with play earrings, necklace, bracelet and a few other things. Zo loved wearing the jewelry and opened most of her gifts with them on. It was adorable. Mom and Dad also got Zo a little 4-wheeler, Eugene and I had no idea so it was quite a surprise to us as well. It took some time for Zo to get the hang of it but she rides around downstairs like a pro now. Unfortunately, I had to go to work at 2pm but was able to leave by 6:30pm (due to a low census in the hospital) and join the rest of my family on Christmas evening. We had a quiet and relaxing Christmas day.

Since I had to work on Christmas Day evening, we decided to have our big dinner on Christmas Eve. My parents and grandfather came up to stay the night and to have dinner and our friends Melissa and Brandon and their kids also had dinner with us. It was a nice evening with our friends and family and we might just make it a tradition to have Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve.
