Z'Khari's First Thanksgiving

We spent Z'Khari's first Thanksgiving at my parents house with aunts, uncles, cousins, second cousins, and my Grandfather. It was a fun time with family. Just before Thanksgiving Zo and Z both got nasty colds and Z ended up getting an ear infection. Fortunately for us (and all the other guests that were staying at my parents house) we got some antibiotics and Z'Khari was feeling a lot better by Thanksgiving day.

Pajama Babies

Sometimes when Zenobia gets on the floor with Z'Khari he gets so excited. He will make his way to her and "attacks" her and Zo usually just laughs at him and lets him do it. He will give her "kisses" and "talk" to her. If he gets to some bare skin, he will blow raspberries. Again, Zenobia is a great big sister!

I want More!!!

And we have another good eater!!! How'd we get so lucky???

6 Months Old

I can't believe Z'Khari is already 1/2 a year old. Time definitely goes by quicker with the second child.
Here are a few things Z'Khari is doing at 6 months of age:
*Rolling over
*Sitting up with a little support
*"Talks" and "Sings"
*Grabs things his first try-he is super quick with his hands!!!
*Working on cutting his first teeth
*Eating solids which he loves-hasn't found anything he doesn't like yet
*Recognizes the signs milk, bath, change diaper, and eat.

Mozart in the Making

One night while I was in Zenobia's room getting her dressed for bed I decided to sit Z'Khari up and let him play Zo's piano. Wow!!! He went to town, he plunked that piano so much I thought he was going to wear it out. After a while, Zenobia went to get her microphone to "sing along". Too cute!!!

Princess Party

Zenobia went to her first princess birthday party for her friend and neighbor Emma who turned three. Originally Zenobia was going to wear a princess dress but she just had to be Tinkerbell. So we dressed her up as a fairy princess. It turned out to be pretty cute! Zenobia loved it and had a blast at the party. Amongst all the "manicures" and wand making, Zo loved playing in the balloon pit.

Reading to Brother

Zenobia loves to have Z'Khari lay in her bed with her. Lately she's been reading to him as well. Most of the time she reads her favorite books to him and gets about 80% of the story right. When Z'Khari starts getting grabby and tries to eat the book, Zo tells him "No no no-don't eat it Khari". She tries to continue to read but Z'Khari gets too excited and Zo just puts the book down and then plays with him. It's so cute and melts my heart!

Pumpkin Patch II

Daddy and Zo in the maze, Daddy didn't know it led to a slide that was made for elementary sized kids. He almost backed out but it was too late, Zenobia already slid down and was on the other side. Daddy managed to slide down without getting stuck.

At almost 6 months Z'Khari has started to figure out how move to get what he wants. He's still a long way from crawling but it's a step! Watch out big sister-I'm sure he'll be as close to Zenobia as possible once he gets it all figured out.

At 5 1/2 months I started Z'Khari on rice cereal for his first solids. Just a few days after his first taste of "real" food, he stole Daddy's chicken salad sandwhich. Eugene couldn't get keep it away from him!

Sibling Love

After 5 months of being a big sister, Zenobia is still proving herself to be an awesome big sister. She loves to play with Z'Khari, hold him, and even tries to soothe him when Mommy can't get there fast enough. She absolutely adores him and Z'Khari loves her as well.

First time in the "real" swing and Z'Khari loved it!!!


Zenobia wouldn't look at me to take her picture, 2 yr. olds can be so fickle.
