Snowstorm

Our driveway and the huge birms!

Eugene and neighbors helping a truck get unstuck

Looking out our front door

Our front steps before I shoveled-the snow was level with our porch

Our little snowbunny!

Record Breaking Snowfall

In 24 hours we had 19.4" of snow fall-a new record. For 2 days it snowed heavy and consistently and for the 3rd day in a row it's still snowing-lightly, but accumulating nevertheless. On Thursday most businesses were closed, even the postal service didn't deliver mail. The roads were awful and news anchors were telling people to stay home if possible. Are we in for another snowbound winter?

Our deck and BBQ and table almost completely covered with snow

Door leading out to our deck-the snow is taller than Zenobia!

Our neighbor helping Eugene shovel out the driveway

I'm shoveling the walk-a day earlier Eugene shoveled about 4 inches from this walkway and 24 hours later it's already past my knees!!

Mel & Brian's Wedding Shower

Over Thanksgiving Eugene and I threw Melanie and Brian a his and hers wedding shower. It was a lot of fun-here are some pictures.

First Thanksgiving

I had to work for Zenobia's first Thanksgiving, one of the downsides to working at a hospital, so Eugene and Zenobia met me in the cafeteria on my lunch break. We missed out on my parents' big Thanksgiving celebration and good home cooking-but we had fun just the three of us. We went down to Dayton after I got off work so we had some leftovers the next day....yummy!

Morning Sunshine

Now that Zenobia has mastered pulling herself up, that's all she wants to do from the minute she wakes up. Here she is in the morning waiting for us to come and get her. She always welcomes us with a huge smile, our little morning sunshine. She sure didn't take after me on that one!!

Melissa's New Job

In September I started a new job at Sacred Heart Medical Center. I work on the Neuroscience floor as a health unit coordinator. My job is to process doctor's orders and assit the nurses with clerical duties. It's been a great job and the people I work with are wonderful. My first 6 weeks were in training and was full time which was a little tough, but we managed and the hours are great noq. The best thing about this job is Zenobia doesn't have to have any childcare other than Eugene and I. I work 20 hours a week and in the evenings, so when Eugene gets home from his job, I leave for mine. The downside is I have to work every other weekend and some holidays. All in all it has worked out great for us and we are happy and blessed with this new job.
